Namourja focuses on the design of energy efficient, cost effective and sustainable industrial processes and energy systems. In particular, Namourja enhances energy efficiency of processes or system, minimizes resource consumption and waste production, valorises waste heat, integrates renewable energy, improves sustainability, and develops innovative processes or systems by including advance technologies. To achieve these objectives, computation tools and methods for modelling, simulation, integration, optimization, life cycle analysis, data analysis and machine learning are used. The broad areas of applications are chemical processes, energy systems, bio-refineries, refinery and petrochemicals, waste-to-energy, reversible solid oxide cells, carbon di-oxide capture, membrane separation, and heat integrated water networks.
